Tatewell Gallery Biography

Tatewell Gallery started in 1982 in Hillsboro, NH by Jack Tate and Don Boxwell. They speclized in antiques and fine art and spent the winters traveling the mid-west and up and down the east coast doing antique shows. The summers were spent gathering antiques from local shops and auctions and running an open shop in Hillsboro. Sometime in the mid ‘90’s, finding a need for good picture framing for the shop and local artists, they added custom framing to the offerings at their shop.
In 2002 they made the move to New London opening a new shop with Distinctive Floral Design in the space behind what is currently Tucker’s Restaurant, later moving to the New London Shopping Center.
The current location in the shopping center, between Verizon and Flash Photo, offers custom picture framing, original artwork, prints, sculpture, many unique gift items, and a CFA Micro-Gallery featuring the works of our talented local artists. Summer Hours are Monday thru Friday 10:30 – 5:30 and Saturday 10:30 – 4:00.
